Poverty is rampant in the United States. In fact, only a couple of years ago there were more than 37 million people that were living at or below the poverty level according to the US Census Bureau. anyone ever seen 37 1/2 inch wide mini blinds?
When I got my house all the windows are the same width and the guy bought all the blinds. I have looked everywhere and unless I get them custom made, I can't find the size. They are just regular mini blinds (aluminum)nice but nothing fancy. He told me he thinks he bought them and Lowes and no....not there. Could I buy them bigger and somehow fit a 37 inch up there or is there a 38 inch? Anyone have any ideas?
I was pretty sure that JCPenneys (and lowes) had "cut to fit" blinds. (They used to have a little "machine" in the store that would cut the blinds to the width that you needed). But... (see link) they now have "made to measure" (basically custom) that I can see.
Alternately, you could chose a different place to mount the blinds (exterior mount, top mount, etc) and go with one of the standard sizes. Check with either a lowe's type place, or a specific "drapery/window treatment" center, and ask them about alternative blind mounting options. If you can mount the brackets differently, you might be able to get away with 37s and just have 1/4" gap on either side.
