Curved Curtain Rods - brilliant idea For Your Arched and Bow Windows!
Arched windows, bay windows, bow windows - they look so gorgeous in any interior. But when you want to select window treatment for such windows, you will face a big dilemma : to cover, or not to cover. On one hand they add a novel charm to your room, but on the other hand they look bare without dressing. And besides, often you want to keep your privacy and reduce light, coming outside, don't you? If you are facing such problem, don't be disturbed - curved curtain rods can be a excellent solution if you consider adding draperies, valances or window scarf to your non-standard windows.
Besides, there are several variations of drapery hardware for curved windows. There are a number of companies that produce various kinds of curved, flexible and bendable drapery rods and tracks. They may vary by materials and price, so do your search and you will definitely find a solution for your curved windows.
Before searching for the drapery hardware, decide about window treatment style that you would like to add to your curved window. Are you wanting to hang draperies? If this is so what kind of them? Will it be heavy weighted draperies or light sheers? Perhaps you want a set of draperies? Are you going to add also valances, pelmet, or swags? White or coloured draperies or window scarves will look very tasty with black or painted iron rod.
Bay window curtain rods - these curtain rods are designed especially for bay windows. They're usually made of metal with white finish. They come in range of sizes and can be adjust to your bay window. Remember that there's a limitation of how much weight they can support. Look at it when you shop for them. You have also an option to get double bay window curtain track if you need to hang a group of draperies or draperies with a valance.
Flexible span curtain tracks - a wonderful solution for many kinds of non-standard and curved windows such as corner, bay, bow and arched windows. Some companies sell them by foot, others - in rolls or as a single wide track that you can cut and bend for your particular window. A minimal radius is usually 12'. These metal tracks can be standard, medium duty and heavy duty - for light, medium weighted and heavy weighted draperies.

Window treatments for corner windows?
Im not sure how to go about adding window treatments in my dining room. We just bought the house, and are redoing EVERYTHING... and Im running out of ideas. Here is a pic to show you the windows;

My first thought was to only get valances and blinds, because the room is not that big, and drapery may be too much. The only problem is the two windows in the corner. They actually touch each other, and I dont know that valances are a possibility in this situation. Anyone have any ideas? Feel free to comment on color as well, that is our paint color, but instead of the hard wood, we are going to be tiling with these;
As far as the 2 windows in the corner, I thought about making a wood corner shelf, just one shelf, put at the top of both windows, make it a triangular shelf. Attach a short valance, maybe about 5 to 7 inches in length to put across the front of the shelf to hang down over the windows, this will still allow the light to come in. On the top shelf, decorate with a big bushy ivy plant that drapes down the sides of the windows. This could be really cool! The wood shelf would go great with the tiles! Good luck, hope this helps!
