What should I do about a product safety issue for a child?

Just before Christmas I went to toysrus and purchased the medical kit seen in the link. Well, today my son was able to somehow get the fake syringe apart to where not only is there a very small piece he could of choked on but the spring popped out as well a definant choke hazard. I thought to myself that maybe it was my fault if I didn't check the age requirements but upon checking the website for this product I was surprised to see the age from 2 to 5 he's almost three. Does this sound like a safety issue to you? Is anyone else having an issue with the children's medical kits. I still want him to have one but of course not like he has now so is there a better medical kit that is more durable?

I would defiantly contact the company as soon as possible and alert them of this issue.
