A horizontal blind has individual slats that can be tilted to allow varying amounts of light into a space. A honeycomb blind however is constructed from continuous fabric and features pleats, not individual slats. This means you can’t tilt your slats, but there are two ways to allow light into your space with honeycomb or cellular blinds.
One method for opening honeycomb window blinds is to use a cord to lift the blind up until it reaches the desired height and you have the amount of light desired. The second method is referred to as the Top Down feature. Honeycomb shades with this feature will lower from the top of the window or door when the lift cord is pulled. The lift cord remains the same length, no matter how far the shade is raised.
