Window shades are versatile enough to take center stage in a room, or act as accents to other focal points. When interior decorating, you can make them a part of your home décor that can really set the feel and tone of a room.

I need inexpensive room darkening window treatments. What are my best options for the following?
My Mom's room has 2 windows side by side that are 39" wide each. She has heavy room darkening drapes, but they are hard to get down and care for. She needs her room really dark to sleep. Are there any truly good blinds or shades that do a good job? Our apartment complex does not allow putting aluminum foil and such in windows (which I'm actually glad about!) Any ideas please? Thank you!
Not sure if you could put up a window cling type thing but if so, I'd suggest using window privacy film. Link is below. I've used it before & its not super easy to do alone, but it is manageable and even easier with a friend.
