Why has Obama stripped 216 kids of their vouchers and sentenced them to failing and violent public schools?

"The students, who were offered vouchers worth as much as $7,500 toward tuition from the D.C. Opportunity Scholarship Program this spring before Duncan rescinded them in the face of the program's uncertain future, were left to find placements in public and charter schools. Some families have complained that by the time the vouchers were rolled back, there were few spots available at competitive public schools. "

Notice Obama is not sending his girls to those same stellar DC public schools.

He is pandering to the teacher's unions. Apparently crybaby union teachers are more important than a kid getting a good education. God forbid the teachers unions have competition.

It is a proven fact that test scores go up in schools that offer vouchers. It worked in Milwaukee.
