where can i get window coverings for aluminum door it is a entrance way door.?
have a half way window in our entrance door that is aluminum and i want something to cover the window besides curtains.i really like the aluminum blinds but the harware to install them wont hold and the magnetic wont stick.
You don't even need to pre-drill a hole if you use a self-tapping screw. These screws automatically create the hole for you and hold the brackets firmly in place so there is no chance of you creating too large of a pilot hole. Make sure when you measure for this blind that you compensate for the head rail (which should be about one inch) and for the bottom rail/hold down brackets (which should be another inch). You also will want to add a little for coverage on the side to prevent light gaps (add about 1/2' to 1" per side if you have room).
If you have a mullion or frame around the window, be sure to ask for spacers for the installation. They will help project the blind out away from the frame so the slats do not interfere with the frame.
I know this is more information than you asked for but as a former blind installer I couldn't help myself.......
