One of the many options that are available for window treatments in your home is roller shades. These shades can be purchased with different levels of opaqueness so you can get just the right amount of light and privacy that you need. The color options with these shades tend to be lighter and more neutral than some of the options with other types of shades.
Levolor Sheer Linen roller shades, for example, come in four different color options: lemon drop, white, fatigue, and goldenrod. You can choose either standard or reverse roll and inside or outside mount. These shades come with a cord loop lift system. For an extra price you can get a decorative hem or a valance to go with your shades. As these are sheer, they don't really darken the room. For those who would like a light filtering shade, the Bali Manhattan Light Filtering roller shades come in five colors: white, off-white, leisure green, dark beige, and muslin. You can also select either inside or outside mounting and standard or reverse roll options. For the lift system, you can get a color coordinated continuous cord or a stainless steel continuous cord. For an additional cost you could also choose cordless or motorized lift systems, as well as a hem and valence.
The Comfortex Envision Shangri-La roller shades is one of the options available for semi-opaque shades of this type. Color options include dove, ginger, glacier, golden rod, hazelnut, natural linen, pearl gray, powder, sand, and vellum. You can choose an inside or an outside mount, as well as standard or reverse roll. The lift system options that are included in the price are either a white or a black standard clutch, though you can pay extra in order to get a headrail or motorized system.
If you prefer blackout style curtains, Kirsch Moire roller shades are a good option. They are available in Exlite or Moire material. Exlite color options include off-white, vanilla, and white, and Moire color options include alabaster, champagne, and white. You can specify whether you want an inside or outside mount. These roller shades come with a continuous cord system, but you can pay extra to get radio frequency motorization. Other features that are optional include a decorative hem or a valence to go with your shades.

I bought some hortizontal mini blinds for the office. They are "Alabaster" color. They were cheap, but they don't quite match with walls, which are a light green.
I'm thinking a couple of cans of Krylon will do the trick.
Wondering if anyone has every done this before.
Hey, smart aleck, they were cheap because they were on the clearance rack at Big Lots. I'm not about to drop the big bucks on blinking blinds that will just get ruined.
