Just installed faux wood blinds on a huge window - got some issues, your advice please?
The window measures 108 inches (9 ft.). Basically it is 3 standard 36 inch windows side by side, but no "wall" between them. Apparently they don't make blinds that big, or curtain rods, at least they are not in stores. So I opted to go with 3 sets of 36 inch blinds and hung them from the top of the window frame. They look great except for one little issue - there is about a 1 in. gap between each blind which is causing a lot of light to come through & if you go outside you can peek through the crack. Is there any way of attaching fabric to the sides of the blinds or something to cover the gap? Any other suggestions? I really appreciate it. Thanks!
I thought about molding - I would still like to be able to open the windows though, so I would probably have to put the molding away from the windows a few inches?
You could try putting molding directly on the glass windows in between the blinds to make the window look like it is divided into window panes. It would block the space between the blinds.
