Gifting Baby at Christmas--Small Christmas Gifts for Baby With A Big Pay Off
If you've ever watch very young children open gifts, they seem more enthralled with the box, paper and bows than they do with what's inside the box. This year, why not take that into account when selecting gifts for baby and think outside the box.
Here are a number of Christmas gift ideas that are sure to delight babies with the wrapping, and will continue to benefit them as they grow older.
Giving a membership is a great way to stimulate baby, but will also allow parents to socialize as well. A membership to a children's museum, indoor play place, the YMCA or YWCA, infant music programs such as Kindermusik, or Musicgarten are all great ways to start to get baby involved with others.
Joining a group is a great way for parent and children to network and socialize. These are opportunities that families, even those who can afford them, will be eager to have, but might overlook now with the responsibility of a baby in the house.
By giving stocks to baby now, the value will most probably increase and yield dividends for many years to come. Depending on the stocks you pick, it won't cost you nearly as much as it would have a year ago. Many are cheaper now than they have been in a long while, and stand an excellent chance of increasing in value.
Buy stocks in all those stores that we can't seem to live without, (you know their names) and that seem to be increasing profits in spite of it all. Baby will look back in 10 years or so and give you credit for fostering the entrepreneurial spirit.
Introduce baby and the family to organic foods with a collection of products and or a gift certificate to a nearby organic grocery. A gift certificate to an organic food store in a basket with some samples of food and snacks for baby, and wine and cheese for mom and dad would provide the healthiest, freshest, and not to mention tastiest food.
A gift card to an organic clothing store in a basket with an organic blanket, towels and toys would mean baby could sleep on organic linen, and wear clothes that avoid the use of chemicals and synthetic fabrics that often cause skin and respiratory irritation.
The nursery should be one of the healthiest places in the house because baby spends so much time there. Removing dust, dust mites, mold and mildew spores, pet dander, bacteria and viruses will increase baby's chances of staying healthy.

HELP!!! My baby corn snake is in danger!!!?
we have a storm coming (I live in Virginia) and may lose power. The snake's heat lamp plugs into an outlet and she would die without any heat for a whole night. Usually, you're supposed to hold them when the power goes out to supply them with body heat, but she just ate yesterday and you're not supposed to hold them for a couple days after they eat or they could regurgitate the mouse. I'm looking around for battery powered heat lamps today, but I don't know of any pet store that carries them. I'm thinking about using one of my mom's ThermaCare heat wraps that are supposed to stay hot for 8 hours to wrap around one side of the bottom of the tank, but I don't know if that would be enough. how can I keep my baby warm???
Unless it gets below freezing you won't have to worry.
